Migration and Development Conference, 26 June 2023
Migration and Development Conference
Date: 26 June 2023, 09:15 – 18:00
Venue: “Klan Arena”, Pristina
The Migration and Development Conference scheduled to take place on Monday, 26 June, is intended to bring together distinguished local and international actors from the sphere of development and migration to foster engaging discussions and exchange of insights on current trends, best practices and experiences, ensuring that migration serves as both a driving force and an accelerator for development.
A central focus will be on maximizing the potential and benefits of migration, effective strategies to ensure positive development outcomes, aligning skills training programs with the needs of migrating individuals, creating an enabling environment for diaspora involvement, facilitating knowledge transfer, and leveraging financial resources for sustainable development projects.
During its tenure as the EU Presidency, the Swedish Embassy in Pristina has demonstrated dedication to the crucial issues of development and migration, a commitment that is reflected in its support for this conference. This initiative seamlessly aligns with the mission of the Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR), whose backing underscores a collective determination to address these momentous challenges.
The event will be moderated in English with simultaneous translation available in Albanian and Serbian.
