The EU-Beautiful Kosovo (EU-BK) Programme was an EU-funded programme, managed by the European Union Office in Kosovo and implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission in Kosovo. It was aiming to contribute to the poverty reduction through the enhancement of economic opportunities for Kosovo population, especially marginalized groups, in line with National Strategies.

The EU-BK project aim was addressed through two specific objectives:

  1. Support short and medium term job opportunities for selected beneficiaries and
  2. Improvement of urban infrastructures in the selected municipalities through the implementation of small and medium scale projects according to the identified municipal and regional priorities.

The project targeted unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled beneficiaries who were long term unemployed as well as beneficiaries included in the social assistance schemes with specific focus on women, persons with disabilities, youth and minorities.

The first phase of the programme, EU-Beautiful Kosovo I, was implemented from February 2011 to December 2013. The second phase, EU-Beautiful Kosovo II , was initiated in the beginning of 2014 and was successfully realized by September 2016.
