The week of International Women’s Day continues to be marked with support and assistance to women, where thanks to the support of IOM’s Community Stabilization Program (CSP) funded by the European Union, four rural women from diverse communities were able to start their agricultural businesses. They have become proud owners of greenhouses for cultivation of organic vegetables, and drip irrigation systems. Working with modern agricultural technology and the cultivating in greenhouses, will create opportunities for these woman farmers to produce organic vegetables in a controlled environment which are in high demand at the market. These women beneficiaries will also be able to secure healthy food for their families and generate income.
