Through awarded grant company from Zubin Potok expanded portfolio and improved business capacities that does fruits and vegetables processing and production of different sorts of jams and sweets for Kosovo market. Through the purchase of new machinery, the enterprise is offering new and unique products, respectively products of jams, honey and sweets that are being produced and filled in small packages, suitable for catering facilities of different kind, such as: hotels, coffee bars, restaurants, motels, etc. The company already cooperates with several companies from other communities but this new production line significantly contributed to make a breakthrough not only to entire Kosovo market, substituting import, but also to further expand their export. Also, the project generated employment for five permanent and 10 seasonal workers of different ethnicities.
This project is a part of IOMs programme Business and Social Support and Integration, which aims to foster integration of mainly minority enterprises into national institutions and Kosovo market. Initially, IOM published open call for proposals within grants scheme for business ideas and social initiatives respecting criteria of multi-ethnicity and social impact, and various proposals were supported through the programme.
