The company from Lipljan was established in 1997 and is engaged in the production, processing and sale of coffee. During almost 20 years of experience the company operates on standard level of production and sale, having customers of all ethnicities, but at the same time working with an old technology of packing coffee products. In order to improve production, the new automatic machine for coffee packing was purchased through the project where the company accelerated production and will fulfill the demands of the market. As additional and significant result, the company opened a coffee shop in Lipjan town in a partnership with an Albanian colleague with new coffee brand and package on both languages in order to expand their business Kosovo wide. The project directly contributed to inter-ethnic cooperation and reconciliation among two communities in Kosovo. Three new employments generated for people of different ethnicities.
This project is a part of IOMs programme Business and Social Support and Integration, which aims to foster integration of mainly minority enterprises into national institutions and Kosovo market. Initially, IOM published open call for proposals within grants scheme for business ideas and social initiatives respecting criteria of multi-ethnicity and social impact, and various proposals were supported through the programme.
