Mini Art Street Festival was held in May 2017 in Mitrovica North and South and organized by two organizations, namely Futja Ngyre and The Way Out from Albanian and Serbian communities. This project created networking opportunities between young local artists from both communities participating in the festival which offered a workshop that included activities in visual arts, graphic design and volunteerism.
During the project twelve (12) volunteers participated. Six (6) from the Municipality of North Mitrovica and six (6) from the Municipality of South Mitrovica. Besides that, two lecturers, one of them in the topics of visual arts/design and typography and the other one in the topics of activism and volunteerism provided trainings. The Festival lasted for eight days, three days’ workshop, and five days practical work in the field in painting four murals and beautifying the environment. As final activity and indicator of extremely positive cooperation between youth, a rock concert was organized were youngsters had fun and enjoyed good time.
