International Children's Day
On International Children’s Day, IOM Kosovo jointly with the Ministry of Education, Technology, and Science, and Ellen Frank, Founder and Artistic Director of Cities of Peace, organized an event in honor of children.
Attended by a group of 30 children from different communities Kosovo-wide, the event allowed them to participate in artistic activities and discover the concept of Peace through various forms of art.
Since 1999 IOM Kosovo through a large portfolio of projects has worked closely with returnees, minorities, displaced persons within Kosovo and the region, and has been committed to contribute to their social integration, cohesion and community stabilization. Through community-based and grass roots approaches, IOM together with the Ministry of Education, Technology, and Science has been implementing a series of activities aiming to allow further development of children and youth’s critical thinking, media literacy, civic engagement and extra-curricular participation into youth self-designed activities.
The activity was organized within the "Community-based approach supporting Youth in Local Communities in Kosovo" project, implemented by IOM, and funded by the British Embassy in Sarajevo.
