IOM through the EU/ Community Stabilization Programme (CSP) continues to assist the non-majority communities.

People of the villages Gelance/and Semetishte/a of Suhareke/Suvaerka municipality needed a well-built path that would connect them easier to various areas. For the last several years, they felt that an area curated into a park and playground is of vital importance for social benefits.  In lack of appropriate spaces for outdoor activities, people of these villages would only engage in indoor activities, especially for safety and security measurements for their children.

Considering this, IOM through the EU-CSP IV programme responded to their needs by constructing a park in each village. The modern park consists of a well-built pathway, benches, lights, fences, trees, and children's playgrounds including a combination of swings, slides, and climbers to maximize fun, safety, and accessibility.

These parks were constructed with the support of the EU project managed by the EU office in Kosovo in partnership with the Ministry of Communities and Return and it is implemented by IOM. The parks are also supported by the Municipality of Suhareka.
