The effects of trafficking can be long-lasting and complex, and there is no one-size fits all approach to treating the victims of trafficking recovery. Working on early identification and treatment of the victims of trafficking can go a long way in supporting victims on their journey toward healing and rebuilding their lives.

IOM hosted a two-day training on this topic for officials from the Border Police Department, Directory for Investigating Trafficking in Human Beings, Patrolling Units, and Department for Migration and Foreigners.

This training is organized under the framework of the “Western Balkans Joint Actions Against Smuggling of Migrants and Trafficking in Human Beings” project, supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
