Visiting Community Stabilisation Programme beneficiaries
Pristina – Last week, the deputy Prime Minister Ms. Emilija Redžepi companied by IOM’s Kosovo Chief of Mission Ms. Anna Rostocka had the chance to meet closely with the beneficiaries of the Community Stabilisation Programme (CSP) and Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE), in the municipality of Dragash.
Women as a marginalized community with limited business development opportunities, especially in rural areas, have been supported through IOM’s projects funded by the European Union in Kosovo, for the development of different business and entrepreneurial ideas being it in agriculture or other vocational fields. They have been assisted with the necessary equipment needed to run their small businesses that today turned out to be successful in securing financial and personal independence.
In addition, Ms. Emilija Redžepi and Ms. Anna Rostocka met with the mayor of the municipality of Dragash, using the opportunity to discuss women and other marginalized communities needs and the ways all the stakeholders can contribute to enhance their capacities and improve their living conditions.
By supporting women, we also support the economy and development.
